A featured writer for five trade magazines and author of multiple business books, Matt has been named one of the most influential people in both the HVAC and plumbing industries—uniquely recognized by Contracting Business and Contractor magazines. His honors include the Legends in HVACR Award, the HVAC Golden Toolbox Award, and induction into the Contracting Business Hall of Fame.

Stevens began his journey in the home service industry in 1996 by purchasing a plumbing and HVAC business. Over two decades, he expanded the company from a two-person operation to employing 70 people and became a leading provider in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.Following the sale of this business, Stevens founded billyGO, an app-based plumbing and HVAC company in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. BillyGO emphasizes customer service, transparent pricing, and efficient scheduling through its app-based model.Stevens is also the Founder and CEO of Sera Systems, a field service management software company. Sera Systems provides software solutions, including AI, designed to enhance the efficiency and profitability of home service businesses.Notably, Stevens' company, billyGO, served as a beta testing environment for the Sera Systems software during its development, according to Service Business Mastery.
